Dinner Party Outfit Idea

Hope everyone had an Undefeated Day. My week was hectic, however, I was looking forward to adulting this weekend to celebrate my bestie's birthday. It's officially Sag season. Shot out to all my Sagittarius. Whoot Whoot 🙌

When deciding on an outfit for the night, I had to take in consideration a few things. What I was going to wear, comfort and the right shoe because it had snowed earlier in the day. My bestie decided to have her birthday dinner at Sax located on 734 11th st. NW. Washington, DC. I knew when I stepped in them doors I had to be grand hunty for one ole extravaganza.

This place is known for its French cuisine, burlesque style entertainment and nightlife for DC Elite. Sax is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, engagement or bachelorette party. It's on some "Eyes Wide Shut" stuff without the sexual undertones. Lol!!! Men and women walking around in masks, costumes, stilts, dancing, aerialist, fire performers and more. OMG! so entertaining and unique. Even after the show is over, they have a DJ playing 90s old school R&B and Hip Hop to top hits for dancing.

For birthdays you can reserve a section and enjoy a three course meal. The meal includes an Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert. The food was delish. If you have not experienced this place it's a MUST for sure.

I decided to wear an all black tulle v neck maxi dress with sequin at the top, backless with spaghetti straps that I purchased from Olive Ole for $39.99. This store is very budget friendly and ladies they have a plus size section was well. Unfortunately, this dress is not on their website, however, below, I will tell you where you can find the same dress. I paired my dress with a staple item every girl must have. A cropped motorcycle jacket, vintage "Gia" magazine clutch, five finger half gloves and some sneakers. I was the 2017 version of "Desperately Seeking Susan/ Material Girl"
